did you try what i suggested before (paxctl -m)? that's all you
need to get breakpoints (ptrace write access really) to work.
and that's independent of the executable format, both ET_EXEC
and ET_DYN/PIE should work just fine (i just verified it on an
amd64-hardened-gentoo box).
