If anyone is interested, we at lunar-linux usually maintain a large set 
of kernel patches for the latest 2.4 branch of the kernel. This patch 
also includes a few fixes, supermount, patched autofs and ACL support 
for ext3, nfs, reiserfs etc.

The patch can always be found at:

   http://lunar-linux.org/lunar/patches/ll-*.tar.bz2

the current latest patchset is for 2.4.31 and contains some other 
patches as well (read enclosed description file on usage), and can be 
found here:

   http://lunar-linux.org/lunar/patches/ll-r11.0-2.tar.bz2
