[grsec] Proftpd Timer API problem: Can this be grsec related?

I've just sent this bug report to Debian BTS:

with references to a thread on proftp-committers at sourceforge.net.
At least one of those guys uses grsec, too.
Can someone take a look, if this may be grsecurity related, as I am not expertized enough?
Or can help the people track this problem down?
