[grsec] question on cdrom access

Hello,

I am running a GUI version of kernel 2.4.26 with grsecurity 2.0.

I cannot get xine or xmms to see the cdrom/dvd unless I
run xine/xmms as root, even when I start gradm in FULL learning mode.

For example,  when  I start "xmms /dev/cdrom" as root, I can play the CD.
But when I start it as a regular user, it just does not see the CD.
 
(My /dev/cdrom and /dev/dvd are linked to /dev/scd0, which I already
changed permission to  -rw-rw-rw.)

What could be the problem? Please help.
